What would you do if you had $12.5 million dollars? Would you:

A. Take a trip to a secluded tropical island... in your own airplane?

B. Leave the imprint of your butt on your boss's desk with a note saying "you can kiss this goodbye"?

C. Buy a bra?

For those of you who chose C, I have good news for you. It just so happens that the budget-conscious people at Victoria's Secret have just added a new bra to their collection. It can be found in the latest Victoria's Secret Christmas catalog. This is not to be confused with the Gift Guide catalog, the Winter catalog, or any of the other forty-seven Victoria's Secret catalogs that have been released in the past two weeks. A week never goes by without a Victoria's Secret catalog in the mail. And you can just stop whatever you're thinking - they come for my girlfriend, thank you very much.

Anyway, this bra, called the Heavenly Star Bra, is a simple, yet elegant piece of lingerie that is sure to dazzle and delight the fashion-conscious woman of today. You may ask, "What could possibly be so special about a $12.5 million dollar bra?" Let's look at some of the details.

The bra is covered, excuse me, "sparkling," with more than 1,200 pink sapphires and over 2,300 round and marquise diamonds set in platinum. In the center is a "magnificent," emerald-cut diamond, weighing in at a hefty 90 carats. All in all, this slightly above-average piece of undergarment has a total weight of over 320 carats. This brings up a very thought-provoking question. Is this bra machine-washable, or would you have to get it dry cleaned?

Seriously, who would buy this bra? I think that Victoria's Secret already knows the answer. On their web site (which my girlfriend graciously let me view as "research"), the Heavenly Star Bra can be found in their Dream Gifts section under "When Price Is No Object." Obviously, they are targeting that coveted really-rich-people-who-could-care-less-about-money demographic. More specifically, those who just happen to have $12.5 million dollars sitting in a jar under the sink.

Now, you may call me cheap, but for $12.5 million, I expect this bra to do more than your ordinary bra. At that price, I expect it to wash the dishes and occasionally cook you a nice dinner.

Now, for those of you who may not want to break the bank on a bra, despite how very tempting it may be, there is a somewhat cheaper alternative. For a mere $750,000, you can get the matching panties. What a bargain! Of course, the panties don't come with the 90-carat emerald-cut diamond, but that's such a minor issue to quibble over.

So, for you men out there who haven't yet picked up a Christmas gift for that special someone in your life (not your mother - the other special someone), or for you women who just want to treat yourself to a little something, look no further. The Heavenly Bra is waiting for you.
